Chanel Cruise 2018 Show at The Grand Palais

Karl Lagerfeld transformed The Grand Palais in Paris into a scene inspired by Ancient Greece for the Chanel Cruise 2018 show. Titled “The Modernity of Antiquity.” The new collection draws inspiration from accent Greek styles such as draping, one-shouldered silhouettes, gold accents and adorned headbands, combined with Chanel’s signature comfortable suits in tweet and hand stitched embellishments.

The models strutted down towering pillars and a gravel path runway of the accelerating Old Greece inspired set, looking like Grecian goddesses. The eye-catching gladiator shoes, featured in colors from yellow to soft pink, black and gold, flattered every outfit, which perfectly topped of the whole theme of the show.

Chanel muses Lily-Rose Depp, Cara Delevingne, and Kendall Jenner were absent from the show. Instead, Lagerfeld walked the runway with his 8-year-old muse Hudson Kroenig.
