Diesel just launched a new advertising campaign to fight with irony the upcoming winter craze that traditionally occurs when holidays approach and temperatures fall: ugly Christmas sweaters.
The campaign “Say No to Uncool Wool” features a sheep Diesel’s symbol for the protest dressed in a pair of jeans and a customised biker jacket. Make sure you keep an eye out for the window displays at Diesel as the sheep will be taking over the Diesel stores with sheep-shaped mannequins showcasing key pieces from the fall collection.
The Creative Director of Diesel, Nicola Formichetti, also released a comical video to explain his (and hence the brand’s) stance on anti-ugly Christmas sweaters. The video also shows part of the creative process behind the advertising campaign after a first failed attempt pre-sheep.
