Recipe for the perfect rooftop party: a stunning location, exceptional guests, a breathtaking view, and a unique preview collection of Furla bags you can try on while sipping on a glass of fizz.
Furla unveiled its Man Autumn-Winter 2018 collection with a rooftop party in one of the most exclusive locations in the city: Terrazza San Fedele. Along the windows, overlooking the square, the atelier’s latest creations, an ode the world of motorcycles.
“For this season, we drew inspiration from the world of Italian motorbikes, which, just like fashion, has a long history within the Italian cultural heritage”, explained Furla’s Creative Director Fabio Fusi,”It has its origins in the early 20th century, from the hefty silhouettes of Guzzi cycles of the ’40s to the avant-garde designs of Ducati in the ’70-’80s, intersecting the timeless elegance of the iconic Vespa“.
Each line has a distinctive style, and even someone overall unfamiliar with motorcycles like myself could easily spot the different personalities that define each series.
“Behind every Furla collection, there is a story. As we do for every collection, we have tried to imagine characters around which a specific aesthetic is developed. For every motorbike there is a type, whose philosophy and personality is the perfect pair with its ride”, confirms Fusi.
As we speak, curious guests grab messenger bags and backpacks from the display, posing and playing with them in front of the photo booth. The party is kicking off, the venue is packed with prominent figures on the Italian fashion scene, but also models, and Italian and international influencers, the likes of Corentin Huard, Carlo Sestini, Giotto Calendoli, Luca Macellari Palmieri, Marc Forne, Matthew Zorpas, Joan Palà, Chris Burt-Allan, Raphael Spezzotto and Matthias Geerts.
