Nathan Jenden has just been confirmed as the new Creative Director of DVF (Diane Von Furstenberg) following the resignation of Jonathan Saunders this last December.
Jenden himself is not new to the brand though and, as a matter of fact, he will simply be returning to the label where he worked for a decade up until 2011. Given such a long-term relationship between them, it’s not a surprise that he will be the one discussing and managing DVF directly with the homonym owner. And the timing could not be better: Jenden will showcase the first Diane Von Furstenberg collection under his direction during the February 2018 Fashion Weeks.
“Nathan is an extremely talented and technically skilful designer who also has a great gift at surrounding himself with young, emerging talent. It is with joy and pride that I look forward to welcoming Nathan back at DVF” said Diane herself in a recent interview.
Meanwhile, Jenden commented: “The fundamental essence of DVF that Diane created is an identity that has empowered women everywhere, delivering accessible style, confidence, independence and a sense of self-worth. I see DVF as being more relevant today than it ever was in its message of self-empowerment while being dynamic and modern. I want to give the DVF girl what she wants when she wants it, and with the joie de vivre and sense of purpose that epitomizes Diane, DVF the brand and the spirit of women today. And most importantly of all I want to make great clothes that resonate with women”.
Through such inspiring words, he definitely caught everyone’s attention even further and now the DVF show will surely be one of the most awaited and witnessed since we all can’t wait to see what will this big comeback bring to the quintessential brand.
