The Prada Group just unveiled their latest two campaigns for the Resort 2018 collections: one for the signature label Prada itself and one for its younger sister Miu Miu. After a period of disappointing financial results, the Group is definitely hoping these two advertising campaigns will be a turning point for the fashion houses.
Despite the small setback that obviously impacted also the marketing funds, both labels delivered excellent images that are likely going to raise approvals among the audience and hopefully promote an increase in sales.
Prada, as per tradition, delivered all of its timeless elegance and refinery through the expert lenses of Willy Vanderperre at the Milan Osservatorio. Starring model Kris Grikaite, a name well known in the industry’s current panorama, conveyed a tasteful blend of grown-up vibes and subtle playfulness in the series of black ’n’ white images, scattered by only a few hints of color. As a matter of fact, the whole shooting aimed to portray also an emotional stretching gap between the collection’s initial inspiration of the Belle Epoque and the actual trends of the season, definitely more sporty and concomitant, as stated by its author.
Meanwhile, Miu Miu opted for a “strength in numbers” approach and cast several popular ‘it’ girls to star in its campaign. Doutzen Kroes, Elle Fanning along, Anna Ewers, Kesewa Aboah, Lily Nova, Slick Woods, and Joan Smalls all posed for the well-known Alasdair McLellan at the Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry.
