New Instagram Update Allows You to ‘Save’ Posts to Personal Library
For all of the joys and ease of use with apps today, there are some features which seem pretty basic and essential to us that Instagram has yet to acquire. However, at the turn of the new year, Facebook has added a new Instagram update which gives users the option to save posts into their own personal library. For some, this minor update has probably seemed essential. Take a look at the shots below to see the new button in action.
Shaped like the bookmark icon on many ebook apps, the ‘save button’ allows Instagrammers to save their most loved posts to their own personal collection of ‘favourites’. For those Instagrammers who like to keep their favourite meme’s and fashion shots on their personal devices, the new Instagram update is a brilliant alternative to avoid filling up your precious phone space with endless screenshots. With this ‘save’ option users can now keep their favourite meme’s and pictures in their own private virtual Instagram library, without having to message posts to themselves or friends to access later.
For those who like to rewatch videos without following an account, the ‘save’ option offers a sneaky option to remain anonymous. Until now, Instagram has never allowed users to keep videos. But this new button allows users to save the entire video in their Instagram library, to access whenever and wherever they want. The button, as small as it is, is one which Instagram has been missing for a while and one which users will take full advantage of in the new update.
