Mercedes-Benz has recently announced full details of the new Mercedes E-Class Coupe, ahead of its showroom debut in April 2017. Next year, we will see a complete Mercedes E-Class Coupe overhaul, heavily inspired by the smaller C-Class and larger S-Class. The updated model is going to be the most luxurious and longest edition to date. Some notable design details include pillarless side windows and crystal option taillamps – completing the upmarket appearance.
The new Mercedes E-Class Coupe measures up to be 123mm longer and 74mm wider than its predecessor. With an extended wheelbase of 113mm, Mercedes claims this vastly improves leg, head and shoulder space. There’s 74mm of additional rear cabin legroom to impress your passengers. The new E-Class Coupe boasts a very luxurious interior, as expected, this echoes the saloon models with two option high-res 12.3-inch screens.
Upon market launch, Mercedes are releasing the E-Class Coupe with one diesel and three petrol variants. The standard E400 model will feature a 326-hp V6 and a 0-60 time of 5.2 seconds, with an all-wheel-drive 4Matic model featuring the same engine, in a 0-60 time of 5.5 seconds. All models feature a Mercedes nine-speed automatic gearbox as standard with revised suspension on the saloon models too. The new E-Class Coupe will be available to order this month, with the first deliveries scheduled for April 2017. Pricing details have yet to be announced.
