Renzo Piano Building Workshop’s 565 Broome SoHo

Renzo Piano – the architectural genius behind the world renowned Shard in London – and his team at Renzo Piano Building Workshop, are busy working on a stunning residential unit in New York’s trendy SoHo district. The project at 565 Broome SoHo is Renzo’s first residential unit and is set to be a huge success. Located between Broome and Watts street, the unit will feature apartments ranging from studios to two-duplex penthouses, all with Piano’s signature flair.

The unit will be constructed with a custom-designed powder coated aluminium façade, featuring extra wide, low-iron, acoustic performance-tested glass – meaning that residents will be sheltered from the invading city sounds. The interior design is by RDAI, who’ll be providing the residents some luxurious surroundings to live in whilst gazing out over the Hudson River and Tribeca.

The unit will also feature a landscaped terrace on the 9th floor, a 55′ indoor heated lap pool, fitness centre, sauna, steam room, interior landscaped lounge with library and wet bar, and finally a private driveway with gated entrance.

The project is due for completion in third quarter 2016.
