It’s been 4 years since we last heard from Haim. Their debut record “Days Are Gone” topped the UK album chart and spawned super-singles such as ‘Falling’ and ‘The Wire’. Since then the three sisters have been silent. Or at least until enigmatic billboards started appearing worldwide back in April, teasing ideas of new music to come. Now we know that they’ll be on the bill for Reading & Leeds, Glastonbury and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend to supplement the release of their sophomore album scheduled for the 7th July.
Haim have now released ‘Want You Back’, the first single from “Something To Tell You”. The track leans on acoustic instrumentation and snappy percussion in the verses before breaking into slap bass and vocal harmonies in the chorus. It is available to purchase or stream on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play and Youtube.
You can also find a stripped-back, live version of the currently unreleased ‘Right Now‘, also taken from Haim’s upcoming second record. Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, the intimate video rotates around the trio to show the up-close-and-personal guitar fuzz, bass face and multitude of floor toms we’ve come to expect from the band.
